Seems that Google has decided not to take any chances with Google’s Android Pay. They have rolled Google Nexus 6P with a hardware known as QFuse which is a ticking time bomb and gets triggered if you fiddle with the firmware of Nexus 6P. What?? Moreover this process is not reversible and there is no software that can (de)trigger the blow up of the so called QFuse in the Nexus 6P.
It is similar to Samsung’s Knox, as it also employs a hardware fuse which clearly shows if the phone has been rooted or has had its firmware tampered with in any way.
As of now it’s not known if the Nexus 5X also comes with QFuse in its hardware, but most probably it does.
Till date users are having their time unlocking their Nexus devices and getting the full potential of the device at their end but news like these will not let the users fiddle with the firmware anymore.
